♥ Maid Cafés in Japan ♥

What is a maid café? The maid café trend in taking Japan by storm, and spreading its way state side. Maid cafés are a lot like regular cafés, but with a twist. All of the waitresses dress and act like adorable anime-style maids! Most maids address their customers by goshujinsama, which literally means master. This gives the illusion of stepping in to a real anime, where the café is your home and the maids are there to treat you like royalty. The maid cafés have spread so much that maid-style business has expanded from cafés, to salons, to even eye doctors! Akihabara, an area of Tokyo, has long been known as a safe place for anime fans and is the center of the maid café explosion. To find out more about maid cafés in Japan, visit our links section.

♥ Our Maid Café ♥

Ichigo Café, meaning strawberry café, is slightly different than other maid cafés. We do not have a physical location, but instead have our café at Anime Vegas Convention and other anime events. All of the maids still dress in cute maid cosplays and do their best to make the goshujinsama-tachi happy! We play games and put on performances, including many dances you may have seen in anime such as The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Ichigo Café is just beginning and getting better and better, so be on the look out for new events. Our goal is to someday be just as good as the Japanese cafés, and someday open our own real café in Las Vegas!
